Leto - Balance Matters

The first ideas came to me in 2020, when I was doing a major renovation on an apartment during the pandemic and had a lot of time to think while working. At the time, I was playing Final Fantasy VII, and as I worked, I started imagining my own world. I liked the idea of two orphaned brothers struggling to survive, and of the older brother having to choose between spending his time with his little brother or with a girl he’d fallen in love with.

There were so many thoughts swirling in my head that I started writing them down in the evenings. By the end of my renovation project, I had written so much that I felt I had to bring it to life.

I tried programming the game, but it turned out to demand far too much time, so I eventually gave up. However, because I loved the story about the two orphan brothers so much and had grown so attached to the characters, I decided in 2022 to turn it into a comic instead.

Unfortunately, I abandoned that project as well—I had underestimated how much work a comic involves, and at that time I was also struggling with my health.

In 2025, I came across the pages again and decided to at least finish the first completed ones as a proper project.

To this day, I’m still convinced by the story, and maybe one day I’ll manage to tell it in full.

Balance Matters

Balancing strengthens your muscles, calms your nervous system, and even brings a bit of order to your thoughts—and at the end of the day, you could say this: if you’re not tipping over, your inner world is a lot less likely to topple as well.
